PROJECT 3
SPACE AND SENSORY:
SELF-EXPLORATION THROUGH SPACES
[SENSORY SPACE]
Project 3 is an individual work where students need to look back on our isolation structure from the previous project and to further develop it into a Sensory Space based on our emotions and what we felt during the pandemic with further actions and accommodations that can be used on that space.
The objectives of this project are:
To enhance the student's ability to create and develop a conceptual narrative
To be able to introduce to students to create awareness in having better understanding of the dimensional requirements of the human body (anthropometric and ergonomics)
To be able to learn how to create model based on the design narrative that was made
DESIGN PROCESS
Below are the images of my design process where I started by deconstructing my model from project 2. Here, I figured out which part that I wanted to make as my main form of project 3 which also carries the same design principles and elements as my previous projects. Then I started doing research on the inspiration and materials that I wanted to implement for my model. I also did some sketches of ideas and mock up models for my design proposals. Furthermore, I also studied on the ergonomics and anthropometry of the banal actions that I've chosen to do for the model.
FINAL MODEL & DRAWINGS
Below are the finalise images of the final model and drawings
REFLECTION
For this final project, I was happy and satisfied that I was able to finish my model on time but the down side was that I was not able to finish my drawings fully on time.
I had a lot of ups and downs doing this project since it's becoming a lot harder but all in all I was more satisfied of this outcome than my previous project.
One of the tgcs that I was able to gain was thinking and problem solving skills. Although I faced a lot of challenges when doing this project, I'm proud that I was able to withstand the problems and learn to think up a lot of solutions for it whenever I am facing any.
SPECIAL THANKS
Before concluding this e-portfolio page for AD1, I would like to give my utmost appreciation and respect to the lecturers and tutors who had helped me along this journey whether it was through lectures or by giving me advices and feedbacks during presentations. Thank you for helping me!
I would specifically like to thank Ms Yan Yee for being a great tutor and I'm grateful for everything that you have taught. I am sorry that I had not performed well during my 1st semester but I promise to do better and improve more for my future semesters. Thank you for everything ms and it was fun to be in your class for this semester!
